On Wednesday, October 13th at 7 p.m. The Guild will be hosting a live book reading event via Zoom featuring authors J.M. Crawford (mother of a Guild adult resident), Choices, and Nicole Donovan, A Life Suspended.

Both J.M. and Nicole will read excerpts from their memoirs and discuss the challenges of navigating the world of intellectual disabilities. In times of uncertainty and isolation, these two women found courage and resolve to press forward and secure educational and therapeutic supports to meet their sons’ individual needs.

The authors hope that their stories can offer guidance and comfort to other parents and guardians of those with Autism. “In some small way, by sharing my experience with kindness and compassion, I can offer them hope, just as other parents who traveled before me did when I was in the trenches,” says Nicole.

“By sharing my personal story, I hope to inspire others and let them know their voices matter; they have a choice,” says J.M.

Join us on the 13th as J.M. and Nicole share their personal stories of love and determination. The registration link for this free event can be found here: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_S-KkXhh6Sz-dldwVd4qElw
