
Katharine joined The Guild in 2025 as the Director of Professional Development and Research. She previously worked at Weber State University, where she focused on community engaged, participatory, and applied research to promote equity-driven, positive social change using a collective impact model. Katharine brings experience providing strategic support for coalitions and nonprofits and enhancing programs and processes through continuous evaluation and improvement. She thrives working on collaborative projects across siloes to find long-term and sustainable solutions to difficult problems.
Katharine earned her bachelor’s in international studies from the College of William and Mary and her master’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of California at Berkeley. She also received her PhD in history from Duke University and was selected as a Fulbright Scholar. Katharine has lived in seven US states and three South American countries. In her free time, Katharine likes to do yoga, snuggle her kids, steal whatever time she can get with her husband, connect with loved ones, and travel.
