The Guild for Human Services is pleased to announce Michelle Peters as its new Chair of the Board of Trustees. Peters was voted into this position at The Guild’s board meeting on June 1, 2022.

Peters is a signing director at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) in Lexington.  She has more than 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry and joined CLA in 2014 as part of an acquisition, overseeing CLA Mortgage Advisory Division’s provision of all mortgage quality control, compliance, and lending fraud prevention services.  She is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Risk Management Committee and FHA Subcommittee.

“The Guild works tirelessly to create inclusive and supportive communities for individuals with intellectual disabilities,” said Peters. “I am proud to be part of such an innovative organization and look forward to strengthening and expanding The Guild’s services to help each individual achieve their full potential and lead a high-quality life.”

Peters joined The Guild’s Board of Trustees in 2019 and has previously served as Chair of the Development Committee. Peters also serves on CLA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council and is a member of the CLA Foundation Board of Directors.  She is a leader within CLA’s Virtual Belonging Communities, serves as a mentor within the Mortgage Bankers Association Developing Leaders program, is also an active volunteer with Special Olympics Massachusetts and participates in many other community outreach projects.
