David joined The Guild’s Board of Trustees in 2023.
He has worked in advancement communications at mission-driven organizations for the last 20 years, including as director of communications and development at The Guild. He is currently director of communications and stewardship at Lasell University. From 2004-2018, he led advancement communications efforts at Brandeis University, which won the CASE Educational Fundraising Award for overall performance and raised $90 million annually.
He previously was an award-winning sports editor at the Telegram & Gazette in Worcester and a sportswriter and correspondent with United Press International in New York, New Jersey, and Kentucky.
David has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and was a youth baseball, basketball, and soccer coach.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism, Media, and Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University.
David and his wife, Susan, have three adult children and live in Sudbury.
