Summary: The Director of Related Services will supervise Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Adaptive Physical Education, and Vocational Services. This individual will assist in the development, oversight, implementation, and evaluation of procedures that impact programming and services in these four disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Train, supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to Related Services Coordinators/Managers. 
  • Ensure the completion and filing of Massachusetts School-Based Medicaid service documentation for Guild School.
  • Coordinate and lead monthly department meetings.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of department goals, workload, and caseload ratios. 
  • Provide case consultation with department members and other staff.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial management in coordination with the Chief Education Officer.
  • Interface with community agencies to facilitate student success.
  • Identify the need for and facilitate the provision of professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in special education, administration or related discipline
  • Professional certification in a related service area, i.e. CCC, OTR, TVI, or similar certification
  • 7 -10 years of experience in related service provision with a similar population
  • Experience in a managerial capacity with a similar population (i.e., intellectual disabilities with behavioral and/or students with Autism) preferably in a program with both residential and community-based components
  • Experience in staff supervision, development, and direction
  • Implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI)
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
