Katy joined The Guild in 2014 as youth nursing case manager. She has worked as a special needs teaching assistant for the Sudbury Public Schools and as a program nurse at the Walker Home and School, where she cared for youth ages 3-13 with learning challenges and mental health concerns/trauma. Katy received associate’s degrees in early childhood education from Fisher College and nursing from MassBay Community College, graduating from both schools magna cum laude. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bay Path University. Of her work, she says, “When I walk into a home and am greeted with high fives and resounding choruses of ‘Hey, Nurse Katy,’ I know I’m working exactly where I belong.” She is also inspired by her Guild colleagues and their dedication to the people we serve.
